Changan Qiyuan C798: Starting a New Journey as a New Energy SUV
Launched on December 9, 2024, the Changan Qiyuan is a new medium-to-large-sized new energy SUV.
Crafted by a 915-member international team led by world-renowned designer Klaus, it adopts a brand-new design style, with a sleek and smooth shape, clean lines and a sense of power, showing fashionable and atmospheric qualities, and is the beginning of the 2.0 era of Changan Qiyuan products. It is equipped with penetrating LED daytime running lights and the illuminated “101” logo, stretching the visual width of the front end.
The C798 offers two plug-in hybrid systems, 1.5L and 1.5T, for consumers to choose from. Among them, the 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 72kW, the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 110kW, and the peak power of the drive motor is 165kW.
The length, width and height of the Changan Qiyuan C798 are 4837mm, 1920mm and 1690mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2905mm, and front and rear wheelbases of 1620/1630mm. The interior of the vehicle is more spacious, with a 5-seat layout.
Positioned as a medium-large new energy SUV, the C798 is expected to be priced at around RMB 200,000 - 250,000, making it the flagship of the C798 in the C798's 2.0 era, and a masterpiece of Changan's new energy technology.
