Introduction
Porsche Macan EV electric automobile 2024 Seres New Energy Made in China
Positioning: Pure electric mid-size SUV
Based on platform:
PPE Pure Electric Platform III. Power performance
The Macan EV is available in two power configurations: Macan 4 and Macan Turbo.
Macan 4: 387 hp (up to 408 hp at Overboost output), 605 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.2 seconds, top speed of 220 km/h.
Macan Turbo: up to 639 hp (reached in Engine Control mode with the Overboost function, 584 hp normally), 1,130 Nm of torque, 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h.
Equipped with two upgraded permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) units, it offers all-wheel drive and torque vectoring.
Powered by a 100 kWh battery pack (of which 96 kWh is available), it is claimed to have a range of 500 kilometres on a full charge (though this figure may vary depending on model and driving conditions).
Interior and Technology
The interior design is luxurious and tech-rich, offering a comfortable driving experience.
A floating 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch central display are standard, and for the first time, a head-up display system using augmented reality technology is available.
An optional 10.9-inch passenger side screen is available to enhance the passenger's entertainment experience.
Equipped with an Android-based infotainment system that supports a variety of smart connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A full range of active/passive safety features are available, including automatic parking, zero-pressure range tyres, automatic parking, steep hill descent, etc.
Chassis and Suspension
The PPE chassis architecture shared with Audi is adopted.
A double-wishbone suspension system is used for the front axle and a multi-link suspension system is used for the rear axle.
Spring suspension is available and can be upgraded with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system to improve driving stability and comfort.
The Macan Turbo EV models have a weight distribution of 48-52 slightly in favour of the rear wheels, and the electric drive units for the rear wheels are fixed directly to the structure at four points, increasing chassis stiffness and reducing noise and vibration.
